Dr. Gayan Ekanayake is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.

He has also served as a consultant in several Teaching Hospitals including Karapitiya, Anuradhapura, and Kurunegala.

Dr. Ekanayake is a medical graduate from the University of Peradeniya and has completed a prescribed training program at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. Following his successful completion of training in Sri Lanka, he was selected for fellowships at prestigious institutions including the Royal Children's Hospital and Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, as well as Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, India. Notably, he was the first fellow awarded by BAPRAS, showcasing his exceptional dedication and expertise in the field.

His areas of specialization include general plastic surgery, craniofacial and cleft surgery, burns, and hand surgery.
